10-Minute Touch Up: Rearrange Your Facebook Page Menu
The 10-Minute Touch Up is a quick, weekly challenge to get you DOING, not just reading about doing. Consider it a way to touch up your blogging just 10 minutes at a time!
Reorganize Your Facebook Page Menu
Challenge: Take a look at the left column of your Facebook page and change the order… maybe.
Why: You can bring more relevant parts of your Facebook page to the top in order to catch more attention (and move down sections you don’t want to get as much attention).
Examples:
If you don’t have any Apps on your page, why not move that down towards the bottom? Instead you could move the Photos up. When I share posts, I usually like to upload a picture from the post directly to Facebook rather than let the link preview bring something up.
Or? Maybe you get a decent amount of questions and posts from others on your wall. So maybe you want to move that up to show your audience is engaging with you (and you’re engaging back). It’s a great way to foster community on your page.
How to Do It
Reorganizing your Facebook page is super easy. Currently, you can move around any section except the People and About ones, which means those don’t move. All the others are fair game.
1. Go to the any section on the left sidebar of your Facebook page, then hover over the section and a pencil appears. Click Manage Sections.
2. Once you click, a pop-up box will appear for you to reorder the sidebar. Just click an item and reorder as you’d like.
Click Save when you’re done!
Your Turn
Did you know you could move your menu around? Did you make any changes to yours?
