7 Must-Watch Videos for Instagram Tips

It’s more than just going after followers. Building a must-follow Instagram account means posting excellent pictures, building a cohesive look, and more.
Does the thought of all this make your head want to implode? (sorry for THAT visual… shudder)
Well, I pulled together some pretty kick booty YouTube videos to help you create an Instagram account that commands attention.
These seven super helpful YouTube videos cover topics from editing photos to how to pose for photos. I tried to find videos that weren’t the same old advice you hear all the time. Pretty sure at least some of these tips will be new to you!
1. How To Use Instagram For Business
I’m a big fan of Chalene Johnson. After all, I’ve been teaching a kickboxing format she created for about 14 years now (Turbo Kick for all you Chalene fans).
Chalene’s also a marketing expert and rocks at Instagram. In this video, one thing that really stood out was when you should have more than one account. I recently started a new Instagram account (@blogclarity) just to focus on blogging tips and it’s been just what I needed to feel truly focused.
2. How to Break the Instagram Algorithm
I discovered Sunny recently and her YouTube page is FULL of good stuff! In this video, she shares some great and simple ways to “break the algorithm” (is that like breaking the Internet?). She ALMOST lost me at #3, but I kept listening and was so glad I kept listening but that tip ended up being great!
3. How To: The Perfect Flat Lay Photo + Editing
Flat lays are an Instagram staple and this video lays down (bada bum!) some tips for setting up AND editing a flay lay. It’s a little long-winded to start so if you want to get to the flat lay part, skip to around 3:45ish.
4. Taking + Editing Instagram Photos
From backdrops and tools to editing, this video covers a ton! Don’t let the pricey light recommendation scare you off. They have a great idea for a marble background (which I knew but great to see it in video form) and many other helpful tips!
5. 5 Instagram Hacks for a Perfect Aesthetic Theme! + How I Edit My Photos
It’s not enough to have great-looking photos. It matters how they look on your profile page. Yes, you can think worrying about your “grid” is the dumbest, most overly obsessive thing evah, but I’ve never been a successful Instagrammer who ignores their grid.
This video covers a cool app called Planoly (which as a free version by the way) and shows you how to build a cohesive theme to your account.
6. 5 Instagram Stories Tips and Tricks that You DIDN’T Know!
I usually give a loud PFTTTTT when people say they’re sharing tips you “didn’t know,” but in this case, I didn’t know most of them. The video has some off the wall and unique tips for IG Stories!
7. How to Look Good in Every Picture
So you aren’t a fashion blogger. IT DOESN’T MATTER. (And if you are, hi!)
This YouTuber had me cracking up as she schooled me on posing for pictures. Even if you’d never take a picture like she does, the tips still apply to you if you ever want to show your face, which you should.
